5. (a) Define 'trade union'. What are the obligations of a registered trade union? What characteristics are acquired by a trade union on being registered?  2+8+4=14

(b) What conditions are prescribed for the creation of political fund under the Trade Union Act, 1926? For what purposes such political fund can be utilized?   6+8=14 

6. (a) Who are the persons responsible for payment of wages? Discuss the rules regarding time of payment of wages. What should be the medium of payment of wages?  4+8+2=14

(b) What is the object of the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965? Elaborate the rules regarding 'set on' and 'set off of allocable surplus under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965.   5+9=14
