4. (a) Discuss the major external forces that affect organisations:                15

Economic, Socio cultural, Demographic, Environmental, Technological, Legal and competitive factor.

Or

(b) Identify a recent economic, social, political or technological trend that significantly affects a local restaurant. Also suggest measures to the restaurant owner to overcome any such adverse trends.

5. (a) What major forecasting techniques would you use to identify:

(1) economic opportunities and threats;

(2) demographic opportunities and threats?
